NSA has long recognized the critical functions professional staff provide to speakers and the profession. The Professional Staff program is designed to provide valuable education and resources to support the efficiency of a speaker’s office functions, with emphasis on the administrative and marketing areas. NSA members or their staff pay a simple, low-cost subscription that provides staff membership in the program and access to benefits such as:
- Speaker’s Associate: a quarterly electronic newsletter on issues related to the enterprise, competency plus technology tools and tips.
- Monthly teleseminars on subjects such as buying print and design work; working with road warriors; making the most of free technology; maximizing client relationships.
- Exclusive listserv: network, post problems/ solutions and share best practices.
- Web-Based Content Library created by the members of the professional staff community: peer-recommended products and services; templates and tools for the speaker’s office; articles and resources.
- Programming exclusively for Professional Staff at NSA national meetings.
- Subscription to the Speaker magazine and Voice of Experience audio magazine
Eligibility:
Professional Staff Members must be working for an NSA member. This can include working as an employee, independent contractor, virtual or in-office assistant, or administrative partner in the business.
Cost:
The cost to subscribe as a Professional Staff Member is $20 a month through recurring credit card payments. Additional staff members working for the same speaker pay only an additional $10 a month. The Professional Staff Membership is transferable and members may cancel at any time. The fee may be paid by the NSA Member or the Staff Member.
