The Chapter Leadership Council made up of 20 Chapter Consultants, who are past chapter presidents recognized for their outstanding leadership qualities. Each Consultant is appointed to a two-year term and serves two to four chapters in their region. The Consultants serve as a resource of support and guidance to chapters.

The Consultants are also responsible for Chapter Leadership programming at NSA's Fall and Winter Conferences and Conventions. Chapter Leadership sessions give chapter members and chapter leaders an opportunity to exchange information and ideas relevant to chapter development and growth.
